Inclusiveness is a Funlab Rule of Engagement: The Funlab Team is made up of Motherfunners with diverse beliefs, lived experiences, sexual orientations, genders and cultural backgrounds. We all try to understand and consider these differences when communicating with our team and our guests.
At Funlab, we always aim to be 100% human.
Funlab was recognised as a Rainbow Tick certified employer in July 2023. The accreditation shows that Funlab has met a standard of inclusivity regarding staff sexual orientation and gender identity and is committed to continuous improvement. The business will participate in a recertification process with the Rainbow Tick programme each year.
A Communication Board is a tool that provides support for guests who have difficulty with communication. The board includes information about what the products and services your venue offers.
Funlab is proud of this small yet powerful idea, which can assist our guests and create a more inclusive guest experience.
Communication boards are available for guests to use at all of our venues.
This initiative was created in 2019 by Kat Costello, a Motherfunner from Strike Melbourne Central, for 'For Fun Sake'.
Australia Venues- Creating cultural safety in our venues and environments we do this through education and visibility. We have our own Funlab Group Traditional Owners of the Land artwork on the entrance of Venues and Support Office, and this creates visible safety, and culture safety for our guests and our Motherfunner’s. To allow our teams to feel further openness about understanding, supporting and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in their community.
Our venues are provided with the entrance artwork and a content piece in their team rooms, further education of cultural inclusion can be provided from the cultural awareness content in the Inclusiveness at Funlab training (FEB 2024)
